Khawla is a Dubai-based visual artist and senior art director whose work bridges classical oil painting with cutting-edge art-tech. Known for her Baroque-inspired legacy pieces and emotionally charged installations, she explores themes of identity, duality, time, memory, and transformation. With exhibitions at Sikka, Tashkeel, and ADIHEX, as well as other regional platforms, Khawla’s practice merges tradition with innovation to create thought-provoking and immersive visual experiences.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

Our event is called TEDxJumeirahBeachPark, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxJumeirahBeachPark event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
